Hi Jerry, I have been reading this string. I think there is a simpler way to do this. At http://www.sitename.com/admin/vars/multi/Stories there is a string of boxes that control the auto post. Here you control your auto post thresholds and voting for stories. I think all you need to do is set up the variables so that stories don't need any votes... maybe a threshold of nil or zero. This should affect all sections the same. Another way to get stories posted if you don't have enough site users yet is to monitor the site and when a new story pops up to be voted on go the "story list" page edit the story that has been submitted and go to the bottom of the edit story page and use the drop down box to annotate if the story goes to the main page or just the section. The admin priv. bypasses everything. There is decent traffic at www.greenecountydemocrats.org for example but very few actually post information... I do most of that. They just read. If somebody does submit a story I just go to edit screen... copy edit their story for them then tell it to post it on the main page. Similar layout site to the above one is www.137th.com and my personal is www.RobertBrantley.com. All of these sites are Scoop driven. Hope this helps, Rob Today's Topics: 1. Did I miss something here?
