Dang! While looking for the right place to put in the box, I discovered that
there is already a block (comment_not_logged_in) that does what I want!
Counter-intuitively, you have to "allow" anonymous users to post before they
see the "log in first" message.

I'll save your code, since it is more flexible than that block.
