Sorry. I'm not having the log-in, log-out problem. I'm using Maxthon as my browser, only because it has tabs and it was available before IE7. It does have some text formatting problem, by the way. So far as I can see, the left-hand sidebar only appears on the home page - at least in our template. I will probably fix that eventually.
