I have a very basic site I am trying to get up and going. I think I need five basic things. 1) Put in a header that looks good and has the site name and motto. This one I might even be able to do myself but I am slow and have other denmands on my time. 2) I want the white space under the stories gone so that comments appear without the user having to scroll down to see where they start. 3) I want a section called "Student Posts" to be the default section where users post diary/story. I tried to do this but it does not work. 4) I want a box on the right that has recent posts and one that has recommended posts, just like DailyKos. 5) I want three boxes on the left (after the scoop stuff is removed): Think tanks links, blog links, and class resources links. Just three sets of links.
